I think order a loose stone first and return it if it’s too yellow for you.

@musician32992:  Either those diamonds are graded incorrected or you are color sensitive. I think you have valid concerns. I am not particularly color sensitive but I too see quite a bit of yellow (sometimes even a bit green) even in the Forever Brilliants/Amora moissanites that I see posted on this site and most people are posting their best photos typically…..

Hopefully the Amora moissanite gem will be less warm, you may have to go with that. While expensive, it will still much cheaper than a similar sized high quality ethical diamond.

Order an Asha, then wait until the Amora Gem comes out! Ashas are D-F colorless and really beautiful.

I would say… Moissanite is just different than diamonds. If an h diamond looks yellow to you, that doesn’t necessarily the color of moissanite will bother you. Agree with pp- you just have to see one IRL.

@musician32992:  Hmm. You could ask they jeweler to drop the loose moissy in the setting and see once you get it. The worst they can say is no.

@musician32992:  There are also stone holders you can get that make a stone look like it’s in a setting. Or you could just get the ring and return it if you don’t like it. I think most places will let you return something within about a month as long as it still has whatever tags it came with on it.

@musician32992:  I have an unenhanced 1.4 ct cushion, I know most people say enhance over 1 ct but it doesn’t bother me.  The vast majority of the time it is white, but it can look straight up yellow.  Usually if I am outside in a sunny garden, not sure if it is a combination of the yellow and reflecting the plants or what.  Again, doesn’t bother me.

If you like the setting but have concerns about working with this jeweler and Moissanite I believe Schubachs will do custom settings.  They will also use small Moissanites in the setting as well as the center stone.

@musician32992:  maybe find a similar setting that uses h colored side stones? I think Jared does that. Not recommending them in particular! It’s just and idea so your moissy will match!

@musician32992:  My moissanite is an 8x6mm radiant cut with the FB enhancement. It looks really really white the majority of the time. It reflects a slight amount of colour when I am in yellow light etc, but most clear stones will do so!

This is what it looks like indoors (with yellow walls!) in natural sunlight (it was sunny outside).

If an H diamond looked really yellow, it probably was a poor cut.  An excellent cut H diamond should not look yellow in most situations; the good cut helps mask any color.
