Hey hive!

Okay so I need your help. The mission: find some asian inspired shoes!

I am having a Japanese themed wedding shower in two weeks and I wanted to wear some asian inspired shoes. I'm not talking about some actual geta sandals or something, just something cute that has an asian flare to it. I think I'm the only one at the shower who will be able to tell Japanese from Chinese (unfortunately) so it's okay if they have a Chinese inspired pattern or something instead of Japanese.

I used to have some really cute platform flip flops that were cork bottomed, with black straps for the part that your foot goes into, and the sides of the platform were black too. I wore them so much, that they wore out though! They were my favorite shoes.

I have a few different knee length dresses in mind that are really simple, so I am cool with planning the outfit around the shoes. I found some pictures of what I have in mind online... but these have to be shipped from Japan itself or the Philippeans!

hmm.. that's an interesting idea. is there a chinatown / asian community near you? how about something like this if you're ok w/ flats

they have some that are just slip on and not maryjanes as well.

Our Chinatown (the one I went to) only has the cheapie tacky ones unfortunately!
