GreenBayBee:  Sorry about the MIL… and the period. I’ve been on BC for 8 years because without it my periods are only 10-12 days apart.  Are you on BC? It’s helped me a lot!

Hmmm something to cheer you up… this always makes me smirk:

GreenBayBee:  Yep, weight gain on BC SUCKS.  I’m a card-carrying Weight Watchers member now.  But for me, I decided that heavy, painful periods 10-12 days apart was worse. I was Dr.Jekyl/Mr.Hyde with all the hormonal mood swings.  I hope you find something that works for you!

Go volunteer in a homeless shelter and you will instantly feel better, you will be giving back and realize what’s really important/worth stressing out about. Obviously everyone’s entitled to feel bad about things happening in their lives but perspective about what’s going on in the rest of the world always helps me get through a bad day.

GreenBayBee:  no no no, you are absolutely allowed to feel bad about stress in your own life. I was being fully serious, not trying to put u down. I volunteer with sick children and I always go if im having a bad day because those kids not only cheer me up but they really bring me down a peg or two on the stress meter and give me perspective.

I get 2 periods per month if I am not on BC, but I also gained weight in college when I was on the pill.  Now I have a Mirena IUD that has helped take care of the problem beautifully, and my regular cycle is even lighter than before.

Enough period talk.  Here is some situation appropriate humor:
