ok so we are having a fairytale theamed wedding. I want it to be beautiful, romantic and classy and not have it be like a kids birthday party.
We are getting married at our church and then having our reception outside at night, with beautiful lights all over. we have a horse and carriage that will bring us into the reception.
ok now here is my idea that I litterally just thought of 10 min ago lol would it be nice or weird if instead of table numbers the tables would have names like “cinderella” “beauty and the beast” “snow white” “sleeping beauty” etc… and then have diffrent center peices that go with each one.
honestly would that be nice or not? is it mature/classy enough for a wedding? or is it borderline birthday party? thanks
the cinderella table will have something like this as the centerpeice but with flowers and candles. make it up all nice
beauty and the beast table will have something like this as the centerpeice

I think it’s a cute idea & it could definitely work for centerpiece ideas!

Hmmmm… I would go for something more subtle maybe. It kinda sounds like a Disney princess bday party to me. Have you talked to your FI? Would he care that the tables were named after disney princesses? Mine would not go for that. I think the theme could be elegant and beautiful, but think you need to stay subtle so it’s not “in your face” with the theme. Good luck!

I voted do it purely because the ideas that you seem to have appear classy. Personally, I love that pink rose centerpiece and I would just do that on every table! Classy and gorgeous and looks very “fairytale.”

The rose centrepiece is amazing! Do that for every table.

The first two examples you shown, particularly the second one which I love, look really good. I think it’s good idea as long as you don’t go overboard or get too literal with the theme.

star_dust and Mrs. Eagle the pink rose centerpiece was my original idea for all the centerpeices 🙂 I might still just do that

I personally like it! I think as long as you try to be pretty subtle about it, it shouldn’t be a problem. Ariel could be really easy, there are tons of beautiful beach/ocean themed centerpieces out there.

A-DOR-A-BLE! I love it! If you wanted to “tie everything in,” you could just keep the materials the same, but have different objects. For example, use all glass and/or silver but each table can still represent a different movie.
Have fun! I think this is awesome!

I love the beauty and the beast centerpiece! Love it! I second other’s warnings not to get too literal, and maybe mix in some real world princesses/fairytales so it’s not all Disney. That will keep it more mature. But you seem to have a sophisticated sense of taste and as long as you are true to that I think it will be classy and not juvenile.
Also please post a recap if you do this!

@FutureMrs.Spencer: what if you dont name the tables but use numbers, and the centerpiece ideas? That way it’s a little more subtle and no so in your face princess disney?
