Hi ladies,
Sorry had to post this twice due to technology or operator error.. oops!
this is my bridesmaid aimee who happens to be amazing with the sowing machine..
Turning the most ugliest dress to something pretty!
Wow big difference! I'd have thought you could never salvage something that, er, old fashioned....=]
i have a picture of aimee in it before she altered it on my work computer... it was dreadful... that vintage is just being polite.....its worse! you shouldve seen it in real lifebefore it was transformed.. we couldve used it for halloween!
Oh my gosh! That dress is beautiful! And you look amazing in it!
Wow! She did an amazing job! I love how the sleeve in the front is different than in the back. Very creative :)
Honeybear, i wish that was me in it, but its actually my bridesmaid aimee doing a fantatsic job of modelling! :)
I can't believe that is the same dress! wow. It turned out beautiful. I made need to borrow your friend! ;)
Wowza! That is totally awesome! I wish I had a friend like this. A neighbour of my mom's offered up her dress that she insisted I should wear. . .an 80s creation with a high lace collar and giant poofy sleeves. My mom explained that I was much taller than her, but thanks for the extremely kind offer (yikes!)
wow!!! now that is beautiful dress! she is incredibly talented.
It has already been said, but your friend did an awesome job. I am a seamstress and I don't know if I could have done as well.
miss skinner:no its not a family dress she bought it from the op shop for 5 dollars and decided to take on the challange :) She is always creating something each week (seems to have one of those never ending wardrobes)
That's amazing work! So she just took on the challenge for fun? It's not your dress? Or hers?
this is absolutely amazing! Old dresses do have life in them if you look carefully. I've used thrift store wedding gowns as evening gowns and theater costumes. I've also seen plenty of bridesmaids dresses get worn for a second time as costumes.
That's just amazing. I can't believe it. Can I borrow her, please? lol.
Wow :) It's amazing how things can turn out!! I never would have guessed the original dress could look so modern and stylish...
Charmbracelet - Yes just for fun, not mine or hers... If she does get married.. I cannot wait to see her dress that she will create!!
That dress is awesome! If she is just challenging herself, she should put her creations up for sale on the classifieds or on etsy of her salvaged creations!
I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT! It is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Wow that is an amazing transformation - it's beautiful!
A $5 wedding dress that turned out that great?! Holy moly, I would say that this can't be topped! Nice work!!
