So what a day. My husband and I have been married for almost 2 weeks. However, I bought his ring over a year ago. We went ring shopping and ended up finding his ring at Zales last year. I am not a big fan of Mall Jewelry store to buy such a big occassion ring. However, it was bought and sat in a jewelry box for over a year until he finally got a chance to wear it on October 20. We go on our honeymoon for a week and when we got back my husband noticed 2 stones missing. I was pissed and Zales said we can exchange the defective ring for something else. To make a long store short, we exchanged it for a new ring which costed $1069 which was about $200 more then the first ring. I was ok with that, however, I go online to Zales.com and seen the same ring for $799.99 on sale 2 days after we bought it. I called the store and she said to bring it back. Then I bring the ring back today and she now says she can’t give us back the difference. I was so pissed, she ended up refunded me my money (which I was happy) but now my husband has no ring and we have to find a new ring.

frustrating! i’ve only heard terrible things about zales/ kays etc. I would suggest maybe a local reputable jeweler. i’m glad you got your money back though!

That sucks! 🙁 Hopefully you guys will find a new one for him soon.

Can you just order the same ring on zales.com at the discounted price?

Insane… Bad customer service.

I’ve heard nothing but horror stories about Zales/Kay/Jared’s. I would recommend finding a reputable jeweler, preferably one that is a Master IJO jeweler. I’d count this as a blessing in disguise.

I got both my rings from Zales and hubby’s ring and haven’t had an issue at all!!! I had great customer service.
@MrsWilson2012: Ditto..if that’s the ring he wants why not just order it online for the cheaper price?

We are just going to buy via a local jewlery or Jared’s where he got my ring. I never had a problem with Zales in the past but then again I only bought small things like charms and earrings from them. Lesson learned.
