Hello everyone!

I need suggestions for a great place for hair + make-up in Honolulu (preferably Waikiki) for the wedding day. I am looking for a more natural look, and it seems like all the websites I've perused, the make-up looks caked on with the hairstyles looking quite dated. I'm starting to fret there are no decent hair & make-up stylists in Honolulu

Most of the Hawaii knotties use and LOVE Dorys Foltin. She is absolutely the best. Check out her website: http://www.dorysfoltin.com/

She will come to you in Waikiki or she has a studio that is in Kaimuki, about 10 minutes from Waikiki. She does airbrush make-up, which is very light and natural, and lasts all day. She books up quickly though so I'd contact her asap.

I LOVED Dorys. She really is awesome, and her airbrush work is spectacular. She books up fast, as noted.

A friend of mine has been in about a gazillion weddings, and another artist that her friends have used, and she thought did a good job (my friend is NOT into heavy makeup, so trust me, if she liked her, it's definitely a nice, natural look), was Christine Gardner: http://www.christinegardner.com/

And I know it was a long time ago, but I used Alison Hayashi for my prom, and she was really good too. Really sweet. She's well recommended and popular too. I couldn't find a website, but her contact info comes up if you Google her name and Hawaii together.

Hi Denise,

I just got married in Honolulu on June 1 and used Dorys Foltin and LOVED her! You can check out the pictures I just posted in the Hawaii board. She also did the hair and makeup for my MOH and the best Woman.
