ok…i had planned all along to wear my hair down with a mantilla veil close to my face, but after my hair trial I’ve decided to do a side pony instead. I usually think the side pony looks great with a hair flower so I (drunkenly, they should really drunk proof amazon) ordered a really beautiful rose. Now i’m just not sure if I should wear the veil for the ceremony and the flower for the reception-or both for the ceremony and just the flower for the reception. And, regardless, does the mantilla veil look better close to the face or hanging off the back of the head with a side pony? I’ve linked some pictures–and i’d love to hear what you ladies think.
veil forward & flower
veil back & flower (back veiw)
(obviously, my hair is going to look way better and be curly on W Day, but you get the idea)

Well, you could go only with the veil to the ceremony, and then take off the veil and use the flower? I’m just not sure you can pull off that veil with that flower.. or perhaps your hair styler can come up with the right style to mix them up nicely?
However don’t take my opinion too much in consideration, because the veil your wearing, as beautiful as it is, is not the style of veils I like for myself, so I might be influenced by that fact 🙂

I think just the veil and it sitting forward.

The veil forward is beautiful on its own, I feel like with the flower it gets too busy 🙂

EIther way you choose, you already look beautiful in the pics, so it’s going to look great on the day. I honestly don’t think it’s too much with both as long as the veil if forward… but it looks classic without the flower. Maybe veil forward w/o flower for ceremony and add the flower for the reception. I think little changes for the reception are fun. You could have your hairstylist pull a few strands of hair around the ponytail to hid the band and it would look elegant.
