Have they already charged you for it? If it’s a chain store (like DB) can’t they see if a store nearby has the clip in stock that they can send to you?

Hmm, gosh that’s difficult. If you haven’t gone into the store to ask where it is yet I’d do that and ask to speak to the owner/manager face-to-face and tell her all the reasons you need to know, need to plan hairstyles, don’t want to be left waiting, been promised it by a certain date, etc etc.

To be on the safe side I’d also be scouring the ‘net to see if you can find something similar elsewhere. Just in case. I’m sorry I can’t be much more help to you 🙁

Im withh moo on this… gotta start looking online to see if you can find one and i would demand the money back. your wedding is less than 3 months away and it has to be frustrating!! Maybe if you ask for the money back they will know youre serious. and if they give you your money back then you will know that they were probably not going to ever get it back in.

… your hair is REALLY shiny! Your clip is beautiful, but I really think you need to start looking for a backup, just in case.

It sounds like they may be on backorder indefinitely.  That’s a long time to wait.  I would go into the shop and ask if they could instead order you a different one that has a better chance of being in stock.  If they can’t do that, ask for a refund.  Let them know you just need to have one in hand to make you feel comfortable and that you’d rather just find one online to get it in stock.  That shouldn’t make things weird for your fitting and alterations.  It’s just doing business and I’m sure it’s happened before.

Oh man, you are a lot more patient that I would be! I would say if they can’t give you a definite date that it will be in the store, you want your money back. Hope the situation works out for you!

Maybe you should make a trip in there rather than call.  Calmly come to an agreement with them that if it is not in by X date, you would like your money back so you can make other arrangements.  They will probably understand that.  just say “I’m sorry because I feel pushy but this is making me nervous.  Could we agree if the hair clip is not in by mid Jan I could get my money back?”  It will be hard to be calm and “sweet” but it will leave things less awkward and they will be more likely to respond positively.
