I just helped a girlfriend with her wedding. She was married in Los Gatos (which is pretty close to Santa Cruz) and she loved her hair person. I am asking her for the name of the girl now.....but I think she charged around that price for hair only. After getting several makeup trails done (and seeing the costs of makeup) I ended up doing the makeup for her and her whole wedding party. I'm by no means a professional, but had done it before for friends and it ended up working out great!! Its so hard to find decent makeup / hair people who don't charge outrageous prices!

@OzToCaBride: Oh good. I'm glad you liked her portfolio. She is a total sweetheart too. She also does makeup, I believe. Let her know the friend of the bride that was doing makeup for the entire bridal party recommended her! She got everyone ready at a hotel in Campbell, CA and the bride's name was Tracey on 11/12 :)

Was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a decent hair and makeup person in the Santa Cruz area. I've gotten quotes so far of $95-$125 a piece for hair and makeup and no real discounts for wedding parties or for the hair/make up trial. That just seems super, super steep to me.
