I used Cari with KyleLynn cosmetics and I absolutely loved her! She travels for free if you book 6 services (i.e. hair and makeup for 3 girls). Day of Hair/Make-up is $130 ($65 a service) for both the bride and the bridesmaids. Trial is $100.
I LOVED my hair/makeup team and so did the rest of my wedding party. I used Darla Stafford (www.darlastafford.com) recommended by my photography. She is on-site so travels wherever you need her too. It's a $50 travel fee, trial I believe is $40 or $50 at her house. I inquired about the travel fee and she cut in in half.
I will be using Lilies Weddings. http://www.lilisweddings.com/ I cannot vouch for her yet, but she came recommended from my wedding planner. The cost for the bride is $100 for airsbrush makeup, eyelashes and hair. Her travel fee is minimal, but I can't remember the correct amount.
Yes I have been wondering this too. Me and a few of my bridesmaid have darker complexions and course/curly hair. I would like someone who has experience working with a broad population of clients, any suggestions would be appreciated!!
Bumping this because I would like to know a recommended makeup artist for darker complexions and curly hair also :)
I wish I could help... the stylist I booked and had my trial with bailed the morning of my wedding. She sent two girls in her place, but they were really inexperienced. One made me cry, and I made her cry.
My advice... have a back up to the back up plan! Good luck!

I had a morning wedding and MRH&MG were at the renaissance hotel at 5 a.m. to set up & began my MOH & MOB 's hair & Makeup as well as my own! Michele was so diligent to make sure I was taken care of on time to get dressed and ready.
I called the studio the night before to see if they could do my toes because I did not have time to get them done & they made it happen! Michele herself did my pedicure.
I cannot describe how happy I am with her service. I highly recommend her/them!

btw.... in the background is my SIL typing my vows.... this was very emotional for me as I dictated them to her. I wanted to cry (literally) every 2 second.. & the ladies from MRH&MG were making silly comments and jokes that kept me from crying my eyes out. :) This meant a lot.
My sorority sister professionally does makeup. Her website is http://www.roni-nikol.com/. She does a fantastic job and can make anyone look flawless. She works on lots of different complexions, but I know for a fact dark complexions and curly hair. Hope this helps!!

Hi guys was wondering if any of you had any suggestions on who to go to for hair and makeup day of? Do they charge for traveling to sarasota if they are in tampa or st pete area? and how much to do me and two other bridesmaids? any ideas? thanks
