@lilacs78: Where are you located? I know a salon in Bel Air if that isn't too far from you. I know they don't do free hair trails but if you don't say it's for a wedding, the prices might be lower. Let me know if you want the name!

OP: If you're not looking for anything major, maybe find a talented friend to do it? I know that most places I've looked at in the area definitely charge for trials, and the ones I've seen range from $150-$200 just for bride hair day of. As soon as you say "wedding" or "bride" the prices go up. You might want to just make appointments at a salon and request a formal hairdo to get a cheaper rate, but then you won't have a trial.
Wow, you girls are close to me. I'm in Bel Air too (actually Abingdon). I've never been to Messana's Salon & Spa, I'll have to check it out! I'm still going to places in the city. I like Bella in Canton (Heather) but I'm never had an updo there. I used to like Brocatos but my girl left...
I've also looked into Amanda Ritchey Bridal and Beauty in Fallston and Domani Studio in Bel Air. Just two more places for those in the area, fyi :)

I have no idea what he charges...but the Whiz in Bel Air is awesome! I see Jim there and he always does a great cut and dye job. You could try them too.
I **loved** the person who did mine, she lives in Elkton but will come to you. I paid $100 total for hair and makeup. Here's her website: http://www.glamourartists.com/ and her name is Stephany Cooper. I got married last weekend and she was amazing.

Hey everyone. Needing to find a person to do hair and make up on my wedding day for me, and then also 4 bridesmaids. I am not looking for anything major to be done, just hair curled. Having trouble finding people who will do a free consult too, maybe that is not norm, but I don't have money to throw away to try to test people out to see how it would all look. Help!!!
