Monet (yes that's her name) did my make up at the Bride Expo last weekend and I loved it so much, I'm booking her for my wedding! I can't remember the owner's name. She's an older heavy set lady and she is a miracle worker! She did about 10 updos while I was there and they were all unique to the person she worked on and looked beautiful! I wish I had taken pictures! Let Monet know Vanessa from the bridal show sent you! :)

I recommend Surrender Salon in Long Beach. Amber is amazing and I'm sure she would do a great job!
i just got word from a friend that Lindsay at the Richard Michael Aveda Salon in south coast/ crystal court is great at wedding hair and make up.
also, David's Salon next to Mon Ami did a friends hair for she and her BMs and the hair and make up was fabulous.
i'm hopefully gonna go with my friend's Aveda salon recommendation, since i just lost my hairdresser this week with less than 30 days till my wedding... ahhh!

Here are a list of popular asian makeup artists. I think most of them do travel to OC.
mrs. caramel and her cousins (?) started a makeup company called JAC Beauty. they're doing hair + makeup for me + 2 of my bridesmaids. they're pretty reasonably priced, too, and are located in OC and LA. i think they will travel to you for free within a 15 mile radius if you have a total of 5 full services booked.

i'm going with chaubellina; her prices are expensive but competitive.

Can anyone recommend a good hair and makeup artist or team in Orange County? I have heard a lot about Vivinne Tam, but she seems very expensive. I'd love any advice or recommendations.
