So I found this very well-reviewed makeup and hair team that would come on-site to beautify me and my bridal party. I was emailing the main girl back and forth mid-November; she said they were available for my date and told me the rates, and I asked her to send me a contract. No response–so I emailed her again Nov 29th and said hey, I really would like you to send me a contract, my hair/makeup is very important and I’m so glad you can do it, just email it to me and I’ll send your deposit right out. No word from her…
So today, I email her to ask if she got my previous email and if she can send the contract, and she emails me back to say that earlier today, another bride with a wedding on the same day (and it’s a Friday, too, not even a huge wedding day) just sent her a contract and now she’s booked.
I’m trying not to be mad but seriously, I’m talking about paying a vendor close to $1000, they say they’re available, and then they do this? Not cool!

This vendor actually has really good reviews on WW… My mom told me I should post something negative to warn other brides but I feel like my post wouldn’t be reflecting her actual hair/makeup services, so I don’t know if I should. The vendor offered to have one of her assistant stylists come out, but I’m thinking, why would I pay you all this money when you’re already screwing up?
I found another girl who does hair/makeup and got great reviews (and is cheaper yayyy!) so I’m going to go w/ her. You snooze, you lose, original stylist!

@Pomapoo:Maybe she had multiple people emailing her about that date? I wouldn’t write a bad review if she hasn’t provided you with any services. Sucks that she took another contract, but I don’t think you should smear her name because of it.
