I am on the hunt for a hair and makeup artist. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

How much does hair and makeup usually run?

I'm on the search as well! It's difficult! I've looked (and received quotes) from about 5 stylists/MU artists and they range from $450 for hair/makeup on wedding day ... down to $175 for hair/makeup on wedding day. Big variance! Good luck! If you find something good, please let me know!

I had my trial with Angelina from www.allmadeup.us (Vivian Tran - all madeup)

Initially I wanted to book Vivian, but she is booked for my date. So, she refer me to one of her girls, Angelina and she is awesome.

I had my trial and she did my makeup for my photoshoot and it turned out wonderful. Couldn't be happier! :)

Had my wedding last month in May and used Ammi Hsu of Beauty Creator. It was that crazy hot Sat that was over 100 degrees in Pasadena. The makeup stayed on all day and was perfect. I highly recommend her!!! She is somewhat expensive though since she is actually the teacher of the makeup school.

My wedding was at the beginning of May. I used JAC Beauty (aka Mrs Caramel and her sister and cousin)! Very reasonable prices (I think my trial back in Feb was $70, including hair, makeup, and lashes). They have a xanga page www.xanga.com/jacbeauty if you want to see their work.
