I don't think that they should make your face look bad in real life.
Generally makeup that looks good in person and makeup that photographs well are two different things. You may need more or stronger colored makeup for the photos than you'd want otherwise. If you're not happy, can you do a second trial?
Honestly, in the pictures, your make up looks really soft and romantic and pretty. It doesn't like cakey or too heavy.
Make up for pictures is usually heavier so that is probably why it feels so caked on to you. I think if you're uncomfortable with that, you should express that to your make-up artist.
i think you look great...in the photos. since we cant see you "in real life" it is hard. if you are not happy tell them. you are paying them good money for this and this is a once in a lifetime thing..they need to get it right :D
I think it looks great in the pictures. If you aren't used to makeup, it might feel and look different than what you usually see in the mirror. You might want to try airbrush makeup. It's more expensive but it looks more natural.
Wow - YOU LOOK GORGEOUS in your pics! I love your make-up it looks soft and natural.
I prefer your right side (even though you weren't asking LOL)
Your hair looks pretty too!
If you aren't comfortable with the make-up I would also suggest airbrushing!
WOW! pretty lady! you look absolutely fabulour with your hair and makeup. i adore your hair and just added it to my file of inspiration!
Thanks Bees! I asked my MUA if we can try the foundation again to see if she can do a lighter hand. Then I'll take pictures to see how that looks on camera. Maybe I just needed to exfoliate because there was tiny little bumps under my nose that showed up with the foundation! Unfortunately, she doesn't do airbrush.
I LOVE your makeup. I like the right side of your face best....gorgeous!
I went back to the MUA to try another foundation. This time she used Makeup Forever plus concealer on the whole face. I think it looked a lot better in person although still not completely natural. But I know you can't look totally natural in person and still look fabulous in pictures! I think I'm a lot more comfortable now :)

Went for my trial today but I'm not totally satisfied. I think my skin is too cakey in person but I think it looks a lot better in the pics. She did each side of the face differently for comparison.
Do most makeup trials end up looking natural in photos but heavy in real life? I think it accentuates wrinkles and bumps on my face where I have none.
