I had my hair and makeup trial today for my October wedding (yes I know it’s early but I really had no idea what I wanted so decided to do it early in case I absolutely hated it and wanted time to come up with plan B). I showed my hair/makeup artist a few inspiration pics and he put his own little twist on it. I think he nailed it. The foundation he used is a little dark for me but it was actually the lightest he had in his kit… guess I need to work on getting some sun! The last few pictures I’m posting show my makeup as it is now, about 4 hours after we finished the trial. Obviously my lip color has worn off but otherwise I think it’s holding up well.
If anyone thinks I should make changes I would LOVE to hear your opinions!

I love your hair. Makeup style is great too. IMO you could play up your eyes a little more. Make them more prominent. Maybe choose a lipstick that’s a bit darker It’s too light for my taste

elw728: You’re very pretty! Personally I would do something a little more with the front of your hair. The back is nice but the front just looks pulled back. I assume a lot of pictures will get you head on! Also, a few pins are visible in your hair so I’d suggest trying to hide them next time with other pieces of hair.
Agree about the foundation – it is too dark. Rather than you having to tan (unless you were planning to anyway), your MUA should buy appropriate products for your face (you’re not even extremely pale – I’m “worse” off and I can find colours to match my skin tone).
Just my 2 cents!

Looks pretty, especially your hair. Completely agree with PP about emphasizing your eyes more.

MrsGarrityToBe: Thank you! We tried several different eye looks… some with more eyeliner and a little color under the eye. We (me, my 2 bridesmaids that went, and the artist) all agreed that adding more to the eye made my eyes look smaller. I don’t wear a lot of makeup on a day-to-day basis so we thought it was just too much and I didn’t look “me”. I may add lashes day of… we tried some today but he only had a full strip and I looked like I had small animals growing off of my face. I think I need the individual lashes placed.
somethingblue04: Good points. He will be using blonde pins the day of, which will help but I will definitely make sure they are all covered. What do you suggest for the front of my hair? More volume? Curls? I’m so clueless haha. I’m pretty sure he is going to have foundation to match on the day of. Looking back at the photos it is more apparently that it is too dark than when looking at it in natural light. My Chanel foundation that I use regularly matches my skintone perfectly so I will have it on hand day-of just in case!

Oh now I see all the photos. I only saw the ones wear the color had worn off. i still think your eyes could be a tad more dramatic

Gotcha some lashes may help widen your eyes a bit

Is the hair comfortable? It looks a little low set/ too close to your neck I think it’d look better if it (the bun) were slightly higher. Also the foundation and blush look too dark.

Very pretty! I like the hair how it is (resist doing a bump-it!!!) and would add fake lashes.

Personally, I don’t like how there are the ends of your hair showing in certain places of the bun. I would also choose one aspect of your face, such as your eyes or lips, and highlight/jazz it up a bit. Also, I think the blush and foundation or whatever is too dark for you. At the ends of your eyebrows (the end closer to your hairline and away from your nose) I think it might look better if they thinned out a bit more and came to more of a point, if that makes sense.

Overall, everything looks really gorgeous! The only changes would be to add lashes for a wow factor and the foundation looks a touch too dark compared to your neck.

The foundation is a bit dark, and I would suggest blending it down your neck As well as playing up your eys a bit more. But the current look is pretty good as well.

elw728: I am going to say add a little to your eyes, other than that you look great!

I love your hair and I think the natural look is great. I was going to comment that the foundation seemed slightly too dark, but then I reread your post. My only thing is if he uses that foundation on the day and you haven’t tanned at all I would ask him to extend the foundation to your neck as your face and neck might seem different colours in the photos, or I would wear a reallly light tan, such as the moisterisers which add a gradual colour. Your natural colour is beautiful though and works for you. I’m pale aswell but with really dark hair, brows and eyes so I sort of need a tan or I look like a ghost lol.
