I cannot decided on whether or not to get highlights, or not. Or to wear my hair up, or not. And I am only days away from the big day!
I have medium brown, long hair. I have had caramel highlights before and liked them, but did not like how highlights turn orange eventually for me. I also wanted to give my hair a break and stopped getting highlights a couple years ago.
For my wedding, my stylist recommended caramel highlights again, but then I cancelled the appointment because I was worried they would not look natural and it would be a waste of money. Plus, my fiance kept saying I didn’t need them.
Also, I was planning on leaving my hair down in loose curls since it is a garden wedding, but then my mom said I have too small of a face, and should have it up.
Any advice? Similar stories? Has anyone NOT had highlights on their wedding?
Thanks in advance! I’m in a real pinch!

I’ve never dyed my hair or put highlights in. I told my moh that after my wedding I was gona go to my stylist and let her surprise me with whatever she wanted to do. But for the wedding, I’m doing my normal color. As far as style, do a trial and take pictures. Best way to decide.

Yup, for my wedding I’m keeping my hair completely natural in color. I stopped dying it about two years ago and was going to get some highlights put in, but I really want my wedding photos to capture my true hair color. I think it always looks better in photos (my dyed hair seems to look quite reddish in photos). I like the idea of being natural on your wedding day.

It sounds like you have pretty hair – I wouldn’t highlight it. If your fiancé likes it natural leave it that way for the wedding. As far as having it up vs down – I am very petite and I had always imagined having my hair down in curls for my spring wedding. But two days before the wedding I went to the hair stylist (who is very popular in my hometown) and she refused to do my hair down for the wedding!! She said I wouldn’t look “bridal”. I trusted her and she put it in a side do to frame my face and I have to say that was the best decision i made! The pictures look so elegant and my hair looked great the whole night and didn’t look greasy and undone – as some down dos look after hours of having it down. That was my experience.
