Whaat about extensions? Too crazy for you? They make clip in kinds. You could then have the stylist pin them up so you have a curly down-do that mimics the length of your hair (think how Eva Langoria does that faux curly bob that is sooo cute on her) but with synthetic hair that is curly? My friend wore extensions and her curls looked great all night. matched her natural color perfectly. It was insane
Any idea on price/where to get them? I'm on SUCH a budget. And I'm not sure I want my hair that long, since I'll be wearing a bolero and the reason I cut my long hair was that it got annoying!
:( I hate my hair I wish it would do itself!
She bought the Ken Pave ones on sale somewhere for like $40. Like at a place that sells "salon" products or something. I know it's a lot but they could be trimmed to the length you want. They make short ones. I found them online for $60. I know it's a chunk of money though
Then pin up the bottom pieces

Thanks ejs. I'm not sure I want to go that route though.
Any styles anyone has seen for my length hair?
I would do waves or curls! You could add extensions...I made some from a local wig/beauty supply store myself, cost me around $45 for about 10 extensions, but then my hair grew longer so I only used 3 of them for volume... maybe have it curled and pulled back a little like I did?

I like that LadyJenn! It's similar but I like the pieces down more in the front.
Plus my bangs were cut for side swept bangs, let me tell you the bangs were the hardest part to get right but we did it!
Can you get it to hold a little bit of curl? Something like this might be doable then, and then you could put some sort of clip on the side to keep it out of your face and leave the rest down.
I know these are both a bit shorter than your hair but you can get some idea...
@ladyjenn - I love that first picture! Your husband's expression is priceless. He looks like he can't get enough of you. LOL. Very cute.
I think your hair looks nice but maybe not with it pulled back? Just a nice side swept bang and the flower on the side, rather than in the back? Does that make sense? LOL!
If your hair doesn't hold curl well like mine, I used a styling spray on each curl before they curled it, called ENJOY styling spray, I bought it at a local salon. It leaves your hair amazingly soft, not crunchy and holds all day. Thanks Tangeriney!
I agree with adding side swept bangs, I think it will give you a fancier look
do you have fine hair? sometimes fine hair doesn't hold curl without the right products..! I think a good idea would be to find some photos you like, and have a consultation with a professional hair stylist you trust to see what you can do to achieve your ideal hair style! Then ask if you could have a 'trial' and how much it would cost, and whether or not it would be affordable given the budget~
However, once you have a trial, I don't recommend settling if you are unhappy with the results - aND you are paying for it. I know it's sometimes awkward to tell a hair dresser you don't like something because you don't want to disrespect their work and especially if they are proud of their work. But while they are passionate, good customer service should come first - sometimes hairdressers or makeup artists might get frustrated, and come off a bit annoyed in the voice, but when that happens, it seems like if they maintained their professionalism, they might ask a colleague or the head stylist to work with you and help you out. After all, you are the paying customer, and deserve great customer services and the hair you want for your big day. Good luck!!!!!
I think my hair held the curl well from the appt but it wasn't dirty (I had showered that AM... bad girl) so I am good with curls. Do you think I should get a side-swept longer bangs cut? I LOVE miss cowboy boot's new PWC and that's the length of my hair normally (I'm actually getting a PWC the day after the wedding!)
I really liked this style, and liked her work, but looking at it I'm not sure it's "THE" hairstyle. She said if I wanted to change anything after thinking about it, we could that week (I'm getting my hair colored) so I will be able to try something else.
Well I'm only saying if you want it curly, not wavy. I actually had the salon wash my hair the morning of the wedding and the Enjoy spray held my curls all day. As far as bangs, that's a personal choice, think about it! I had quite a few trials before I found the right person...it's amazing how many people can curl your hair completely different!

I had my hair trial and I thought it looked pretty but wasn't sure it was "me." My wedding is in a month and I don't know if I should try something else?
The issue is my hair doesn't hold curl that well. I have grown it out (prob gained about 2 inches) because I wanted to wear it down and in my dress, it looked weird so short and plain... see?
(that was about 8 months ago.)
Any other suggestions? I don't know what to do! All I know is I want it mostly down.
