So I’m just 11 days til “I DO” and so excited for my hair extensions! I decided to go with a salon I have trusted and loved for years to have “bead in” extensions installed. I have never had any type of extension whatsoever – including fun clip ins – so I had no idea what to expect.
After 4 hours in the chair and well over $500 I walked out feeling happy though a bit shocked at how obvious I felt the top of the extension (near my scalp) looked.
Decided to do some research and after a quick Google search realized that the woman did them completely wrong. Basically, there is this little tip at the end of each strand that she was supposed to bond at the top of the extension to bond with my hair at the scalp… instead, she applied it about halfway down the tip leaving a large portion exposed and poking out of my hair.
It looks like I’m wearing a crown of sorts… with these little plastic ends sticking up all over my head. Every how do video, every article describes it doing the exact opposite of what she did – common sense would determine to clamp it at the top… so why she did it this way I have no idea! My best guess is that she lied and said she had done them before but really had no experience whatsoever. The salon opens at 10am tomorrow and I am planning on being there when the doors open.
Totally horrified and completely disapointed in myself for not knowing better.
