I wanted something more trendy and pretty… my hair has always been kind of BLAH. I am Maid/Matron of Honor in 2 weddings coming up in the next few months and have been debating hair extensions.
My hair is like this now: http://www.thenewhairstyles.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/00296_long-bob-hair-1.jpg
And I wanted Kate Middleton like hair! http://www.realbeauty.com/cm/realbeauty/images/mI/rby-celeb-inspiration-kate-middleton-de.jpg
Think extensions could give me this look. My hair is straight straight now so I am not sure what it would look like trying to add some waveyish hair and it is $800 so I figured opinions were needed first! lol.

I want to tell you… while growing out my bob (same length and as straight natually as Gyeneths) I did extensions with that much length difference. They were SO heavy as you needed to extend pretty much every single hair to make it look good. And you couldn’t wear it up or you bob would stick out. They gave me headaches and I think I took them out about a week after getting them.
I don’t recommend it.

You should try the real hair extensions that are sold at Sally’s. They are clip ins and you can’t notice them if you wear your hair down. They cost less than $100 and can be dyed to match your hair color! I got them last year and i think they look great in! You could also try these before you try the more expensive salon extensions.

Get them only if you plan to have the extensions layer-cut. That’ll help them blend.

it will give you that look… but you will suffer. i’ve had extensions before and as soon as it grows out… you will have a hard time combing/brushing your hair. it will yank your hairs out. i’m having extensions for my wedding to give me length for a side pony. my hair color now is that ombre look. it starts from dark brown to blonde so my hairstylist is dying clip on extensions the same as my hair so it looks natural and part of your hair. i suggest going this route as you can have them in whenever you want long hair n have them off if you want short hair.
