Looking for a professional that knows how to do hair extensions for black women a.k.a sewn in weaves. I am also looking for someone that knows how to do make-up for black women i.e. knows how to match the right eye colors, airbrush foundation coverage and highlighting + contouring for black skin. I know how to do my own make-up but I am hoping not to add stress on the day of my wedding. <br />Please reach out to me if you are that professional or know someone in the Seattle area or Tacoma if they can travel to Seattle.

yeukaikaren: I’m not in Seattle but I have a few suggestions. If you’re on instagram you can just search seattlemua or seattlemakeupartist under hashtags. I just checked both and several came up showing pictures of women of color. For your hair search seattlehairstylist under hashtags. I saw several stylists pictures of weaves on women of color under that search as well.
Another option for makeup:
Go to a make-up counter at the mall, Sephora or Ulta (if those stores are near you). A lot of the people that work at those stores also do freelance work. You could get your face done and make sure you like their work or tell them what you need and see if they have a portfolio. I met a great mua at Sephora and although I already have a mua I use I would definitely use her for future things if mine was unavailable.

yeukaikaren: I’m AA and in the Seattle area once a month. I follow a black MUA on Instagram named Hira Preston and I love what he has done on brides out there….
beauty_frenzy (his IG name)
I live in NYC so nobody out of state can touch my hair so I’m no help there….
