You’ll need to get a count of all the bridesmaids who will want their hair done, so they’ll have to let you know for certain before the wedding day. They can’t just decide on the spot whether or not they want their hair styled, the stylist needs to be prepared. Your stylist will need to know how many bridesmaids she’ll be doing so that she can determine whether or not she’ll need to bring an additional stylist in to help.

Typically, the same stylist can get through the bride and all the bridesmaids if there is enough time, but it just depends on the size of the wedding party, the kind of hair styles desired, etc.

Also, don’t leave “just enough” time for hair. My hair is difficult to style, and both as a bridesmaid and bride I’ve had to ask for re-dos and fixing. Leave room for error!

@maraschino:  <– What she said.

They have to know in advance, your stylist has to be realistic about it, and there needs to be enough time if they choose to all get their hair done. With that many girls, it may take two stylists depending on the timing, so your stylist definitely needs to know. Also the stylist needs to give a price for each girl so they know how much money to bring.

i would first talk to your stylist to see if she’d be able/willing to do it and get a price and a time frame. then let your girls know that you have a stylist who is willing to do their hair and give them all the details. they can choose your stylist or find one on their own, but definitely give them a deadline to decide so your stylist can be well prepared.

that’s how i did it when i was going to use a makeup artist for my wedding (i ended up doing my own).
