I know I posted on this a couple days ago, but I only got one reply 🙁
I scheduled my hair and makeup trial on the same day as engagement photos (TOMORROW!) to save money. Would it be weird to have the same hair and makeup in our engagement photos AND wedding?? Should I get different hair for tomorrow and just schedule another trial for the bridal hair?

I did my hair and makeup trial the day we did a mini-engagement shoot. I am glad I did, because I got the chance to see how everything photographed, and I made changes to my look because of that! I ended up going to Mac and testing out different lipstick combos and added extensions to my hair. We weren’t planning to use the photos for anything, we did them as a way for our photographer to see our venue and to make sure that we could be comfortable in front of his camera. Probably not super helpful for you, but I thought I’d share my experience. Good luck!

kortizi0: I think it depends on how you plan on styling your hair. If you plan on having a really elegant up-do or something else that looks formal I would change it. Engagement photos usually are more laid back, and I would find it strange. If you are simply planning to have your hair curled or something relatively simple, I don’t think it would be a big deal.

If you are having an updo you can see if they can take it out to leave your hair down for the pictures. I had my makeup trial for my engagement pictures and went with a very natural look that ended up ok in the pictures, but definitely not what I wanted for the wedding. Just had a second trial to pump it up and am very happy with the result. So you may decide after seeing the pictures to do something different for the wedding anyway.

LibrarianBride: hyzenthlay: Thank u ladies, that is a good point! I may want to tweak some things based on how the photos turn out
TheLadyA : that’s what I was thinking, Kindof wanted my hair more laid back (down) for engagement but will definitely wear it up for the wedding because I have a really detailed illusion neckline and back I wanna show off. So I think up do would be too much for the engagement shoot.
We will also be sending out an engagement photo with our save the dates so that’s also why I wasn’t sure if I wanted to have the same look come wedding day lol

kortizi0: I think the other bee’s suggestion to have them take it down for you afterwards is perfect! Good Luck!
