Honestly, if you normally wear your hair up then I would wear it up. You'll feel much more comfortable and "you". I usually wear mine up and I toyed with the idea of wearing it down, but I'm SO glad I didn't.
Some messy, side buns I found.
Including this one cuz it's beautiful and it would look awesome with a birdcage, although a bad picture.

Thanks tru!!! Melanie Fiona's style is saved on my computer. I trust the person that is styling my hair today and I trust the person doing my wedding hair I think I will tell them what I want and go from there lol!!
Well, I will tell you this...I normally wear my hair down but I went with an updo for the wedding. I wanted it to be different. But I think that the side bun would look great with your fascinator and birdcage.
I was thinking (to add interest to the bun) do you think that you could twist it or something from the side-front down the side. Kind of like this, but not exactly
what about a nicer bun? more of the chignon style with a little more volume up top? if you're wearing a birdcage veil and a flower--a slightly simpler and not crazy ornate hairstyle will complement it nicely I think!

So my wedding is in 10 days and I am wearing a birdcage with a large flower fascinator... But I don't know how to wear my hair?! It is really thick and maybe to the bottom of my shoulder blades.... I usually wear it in a bun and want something a bit more "special" than an updo. I was thinking a messy side bun but now I just don't know if I should wear it down since I never do or what.....
