- Wedding: October 2013
I’m getting married in my hometown but I live a few states away. It’s unlikely I’ll be able to make the trip back to the wedding city prior to the wedding itself, when I’ll be arriving late Thurs night before a Saturday wedding.
I am DEFINITELY not a DIY beauty sort of bride… if I slap on some mascara it is a good day, and don’t get me started on my hair. So I need to find a day-of stylist for my wedding hair and makeup, which I’m hoping to keep low-key and uncomplicated yet still polished.
But how important is that trial run, really? What if I can’t schedule a trial due to living out of town, or can only schedule the trial for the day before the wedding? Alternatively, how bad an idea would it be to do a quasi-“trial” with a totally different salon in my current city, and take photos of the results to the day-of stylist to try to communicate what I’m looking for?
