I’ve been looking into on-location hair/makeup people for the wedding and came across a company that has AMAZING reviews for both hair and makeup. However, they require a 7 person min for hair (which we will meet) but also a 7 person minimum for makeup, which I don’t think we will meet.
My question is, should I book just hair with this on-location company and find a separate makeup artist that can come for just me, or should I keep looking and book a company that can do our hair AND makeup together?
What are you ladies doing?

I’m planning on DIY makeup but pro hair. Maybe give them a call/email and ask though – since you meet the minimum for one service maybe they’ll let the other slide.

@kat912: I’m having separate people arrive at separate times. I don’t think its that uncommon.

@kat912: I JUST booked my artist yesterday! I am having one girl do both our makeup and our hair. She will be bringing an assistant and coming to us, which was really important to me. I didn’t want to be jumping around all morning.
I was going to book a separate hair/makeup artist, but both of them had travel fees, minimums, etc. In the end, it was MUCH less expensive to book one person for both. PLUS, you don’t have 2189320 people in the room while you’re getting ready.

@MissBatman: Veryyyy true about having tons of people in the room. I didn’t know finding a hair/makeup person would be this challenging!!

@kat912: Oh my gosh, I know!! It’s like, how is it THIS difficult?? I didn’t know price points, so I had NO idea what was reasonable and what wasnt!
