Weddingbee boards

Okay, I realize that your wedding date has already passed, but I am posting in the hopes of helping out any other Ventura County brides out there.  Not only am I getting married this year, but my sister just got married last summer so I have a few tips.  

Cupcakes- During planning process for my sister I found Amanda Higgins http://www.higglets.com/.  Her cupcakes were delicious and her service was fantastic.  She was on time to deliver and set up my sister's cupcakes.  We are planning to use her for our wedding.  Yum!

DJ-My sister used Jason a thttp://www.elegantevententertainment.com/.  Everyone loved him.  Totally a non-cheesy DJ!  Would have used him in a heart beat but he was already booked for our date.  Also, my fiance's family is Persian, so we are going with a Persian DJ.  

Photographer- We are using Jen Harris http://www.jenharris.net/.  Her son is actually in my class this year and she did our engagement session for us.  Eveyone loves our pics (including us) and we can wait to see our wedding pics (when it is all over).  I think she is very reasonably priced for what you.  My sister's photographer was also VERY reasonable, and she was happy with her photo's too http://www.kellisonphotoart.com/

Florist-We are using LA based florist Bobbe Vagell http://www.bvfloralconcepts.com/ We are super excited to be working with them.  I love his nontradtional designs.  And I feel he is very reasonable for what you get.  Also seems very willing to work within a budget.

Venue- We looked at several venues and saw several things that would work for us but weren't US!  That is, until we stepped foot on the grounds of the Hummingbird Nest Ranch!  I can't say enough about the beauty of our venue!  I can't wait to get married here.  Really, I just want to move in!  I love it!  www.hummingbirdnestranch.com.
