No earlier than a month before the wedding for me.

@MissKit:  I would say as soon as possible or when you already have all your accesories together. I say it by personal experience! I had my first makeup trial a month before the wedding and I hated it! I looked around but everybody was booked! I tried MAC but I did not like it either! Same thing with my hair trial, it was horrible!

So I ended up doing my own makeup and hair. Eh it worked out for the better! But ended up with 200 less in my bank account. Oh well!

Goodluck!

I am going to have mine done the day of my bridal shower, in the morning. So I will be doing it in September or the first week of October

we had an engagement party thrown for us and I decided to do a trial with hair clipped in and full airbrush makeup — and while I LOVED what she did I am going to have another run for my bridals with a “sweeter” look (hopefully in Sept/Oct) — she did a very dramatic smokey eye and while it was VERY me I do want something a little softer. {BTW love my clip in extensions}

The salon I am very pleased with – they will close down to handle us and only us during the time block they think we need AND they have a bridal suite so that might solve where we’re getting ready ~ especially since we’re getting married in my honey’s hometown that is over an hour from my house and an hour and a half from my family’s places!

I have done both of mine! I did them separately – the makeup trial I did because my original makeup artist (a friend) pulled out due to travel, so I wanted to check they were good!

The hair trial I had when I had a wedding on.

They are both fantastic (thankfully!) I advise doing it for peace of mind as soon as you can.

I went for my first hair trial a week and a half ago.  It was HORRIBLE!  The lady was so frazzled and kept calling me the wrong name!  I’m so glad I did it early because I have 2 back up appointments that still have my date open.

I’ll have a full makeup trial the day of my shower, but I have already worked with my makeup artist and she is amazing!!

I’m doing mines in mid October, mind you while i’ve booked the makeup artist, I am yet to locate much less book a hairstylist. I really need to get on that.

My hair trial is scheduled for October 17th but I’ll be changing it to the week before probably as I double booked myself that day, didn’t realise my football team has a home game that day and we’re season ticket holders. We already have to miss one game this year for our pre-marital classes, I don’t want to miss another one for a hair trial! As for makeup, I’m not doing a makeup trial at all. I’m having mine done at Sephora, I’ve had my makeup done there several times before and have never had a problem, so I’m not worried about the wedding at all.
