I haven't gotten a haircut for awhile - since february and I hated the style so I've been trying to let it grow out but I feel that I should get a trim sometime before the wedding so it looks healthy but when is best? Now?  a month before?  two weeks before?

And any suggestions for products help make hair a lil less dull and more shiny?

Anything else ya'll are doing to get the hair ready way before the big day?

I heard get a haircut a week before the wedding if you're going to get one.  If you're coloring your hair, same thing.  As far as shiny, I'm not really sure, I've never really had dull hair.  I use Paul Mitchell clarifying shampoo.

normally I would suggest a week or two before the wedding so it looks fresh and healthy. however, since you did not like your last haircut, might i suggest a month before the wedding so that you may amend the 'do if required!

as for product suggestions.. i love my aveda 'smooth infusion style-prep smoother' .. i put it on when my hair is wet and after i blowdry/straighten it's sooo soft and shiny :)

Get a new shampoo/conditioner for the month.  I trade my brand every time I get new stuff.  I had a hair dresser tell me that your hair gets tired of the same thing, so if you switch it up some your hair wont become immune to it.  so far it has worked well... my hair seems to break less often and stays smoother after my haircut without hte ends getting yucky.

I also will use some heat repair stuff if i am going to be straightening. And leave in conditioner if my hair is tangled up rather than forcing a comb or brush through.
