Ok.... so i thought i just scored big time by finding a hairdresser who will do my hair for $50... i was super happy :) but then i mentioned her the date/day and she was like "oh sorry we're not open on sundays" NOOOOOOOOO then i realised that just about every hairdresser is closed on sundays! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

This is the hair style i want... after she found out it was on a sunday she was trying to explain to me how i can go about doing it myself... the heat rollers sound easy... but there is no way i'm going to be able to get my hair looking anything like that.

    *sad*

LOVE THAT STYLE... If only I had the hair for it. *sigh*. But I got my hair/make up person for 50 bucks also. Doing both hair AND make up, and she had thought that it would be on a Sunday, she would have charged an extra 20 dollars to travel to my house to do the hair. Ask her if she will travel for extra fee?

LOL someone else voted for monkeys and banana LMAO!!!

I'm about to call the hairdresser who i really liked, the only one that actually tried to help me figure out how to do my hair myself... i feel rude ringing up and asking if she will do a sunday for me... i wouldn't mind paying a bit more.... how much do you think it is a good extra cost?
will i sound silly asking if she would and getting a price and then saying that i'll get back to her? (i kindda would like to run it by my partner about price first... unless it's like $20 or 30 then i know that'll be fine)

LOL i've never begged before... i don't know what to say... will i come off as rude?

She was a really nice lady... when i was heading to the salon i walked past a takeaway shop with two ladys sitting at the door eating... it was next to the hairsalon then as i walked into the hairdressers there was no one in there and then one of the lady came running across.. LOL she was having her lunch and she was like "oh me and my friend were just saying how beautiful you were" awww how sweet LMAO!!!!!!!!!

call her...talk about the price with your partner first. Establish a max you are willing to pay. You wouldn't want to call her, beg, and then say "I'll call you back"...she might think that is annoying & think well, do you want me or not?! lol...

I think that you should call the stylist and make an appointment with her to discuss the situation. Tell her, at the appointment, how much you would like to have her for your wedding and then tell her your (agreed upon) maximum price. It sounds bad but...make her like you! ;) just be charming and nice and explain to her how much it would mean to you...and if she helps you out then TIP HER BIG!

the hairstyle is gorgeous!!! and if she can't do it...ask her if someone she knows can, hit up craigs list, try another salon, etc.

I would try to find another salon.  The place I'm getting my hair done charges an extra $30/hr to specially open for a sunday wedding.

Ahaha, I'm just laughing because of how many people choose "Monkey's and Banana's". Not very helpful, although that was what I picked!

I absolutely think that you should ask the stylist to come to your home to do your hair. I don't know why she wouldn't (besides for religious reasons), because it'll be an extra $50.00 on the side for her.

I would find someone who would travel to you.  My MOH is a hairdresser and on her days off travels for weddings.  It's extra money in her pocket and she loves doing brides hair and makeup.  Lot's of times she will do the whole wedding party which saves everyone from having to figure out what they are going to do.  Do you have bridesmaids that need thier hair and makeup done so that everyone could add to make it more worth her time?  I am sure you can find someone who would be willing.  I don't suggest you call and ask, cause I am sure a lot of salons are big fans of thier employees working on the side instead of bringing the money in.   Ask around to see if friends have a favorite stylist and go to her directly to ask.

This can be really an eaasy problem to fix, you just have to ask! I had our engagement pics on a Sunday and an event on a Sunday and both times the salon I wanted to go to was closed on Sunday. After speaking with them, they were more than willing to have a stylist come in for an extra fee and do my hair. No big deal at all!

If you really like her, then ask and she should be able to work something out!
