My hair can do absolutely nothing, it doesnt curl, bobby pins can’t hold it, hair spray seems to vanish in seconds. The only thing that works in leaving it down or putting it into a braid or ponytail. I decided that I will embrace this and wear my hair down for the wedding but since it is going to be my style for the day I want my long hair, touches my lower back, to shine and be soft not like it currently is. Its dry and a little coarse with no sheen but I dont often care much about my hair. What products, masks, serums and such do you ladies recommend to hydrate and add shine back into my hair?

I love Redken products and usually get them at Ulta during their sales! A Moroccan oil mask would beneficial to use for shine and I also LOVE the It’s A Ten brand leave in spray. It’s a bit pricey but I got a trial size one and never looked back! I couldn’t stop touching my hair it was so soft and shiny!
EDIT: have you ever had your hair styled professionally? You’d be surprised on what magic some can pull on hair that wont curl/hold style for you!

coconut oil and argan oil do wonders for my hair! my hair is dry and frizzy and i use a little oil in my damp hair before blow drying or just letting it air dry and its shinier and so much more manageable!

@misschickpea: I did get it professionally done once at an amazing salon for a friends wedding but they couldn’t get the first curl to stay long enough to finish the rest of my hair. It’s really frustrating but I’d rather embrace it than fight it on the day of the wedding. I’ve heard a few different reasons why it won’t work to style my hair, some say its because it is too heavy since its thick others because it’s really fine. I will get a professional blow out that day but nothing more in way of styling, maybe add a sparkly head band
