I just figured it out, and the cost per maid if she travels is about $90, and for myself $135, just to add perspective.

That sounds about right to me. I am getting my hair done at a top (AVEDA)salon in Boulder, Colorado at the salon and it will cost $75 and up for bridesmaids(it's on me) and $90 and up for me.

I'm in Orange County, CA, and I'm paying about $200 total for hair, make-up and travel for myself. My maids are $50 for hair and $50 for make-up (travel is included), then it goes down for flower girls, etc.
It does sound a little pricy, but you might want to think about shopping around -- to at least get some 2nd opinions.

I am trying to find the right hair stylist, and am wondering how much is typical for having hair done. I have 4 bridesmaids who all want their hair done, plus myself makes 5. The wedding is in a small town about 30 minutes from Columbus Ohio, and there aren't really any good local options. Because of the travel time, I would like to have the stylist come to us and do our hair in a hotel. To come out and do hair for all 5 of us, she wants to charge $500. She said in the salon the costs would be $75 for the bride, and $50 for each maid, so that's $225 to travel!
My question is, is this reasonable? It seems a little high to me, but I am having a hard time finding alternatives.
If anyone has a stylist recommendation for Columbus, Ohio, please let me know!
