I never thought I would be a bumper, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! hahahaha
*bump*
Hmmm, that's a tough call. First of all, I always worry when a vendor tells me that someone else is interested in the date. Often times it's true, but other times it's just their tactic for booking. Anyway, how did you find this specific stylist? Did she come recommended by people you know? If she's just a shot in the dark pick, then I wouldn't stress it now. I'd wait and see what happens until you're ready. If you're confident that she's the one you want, I would book the trial for ASAP. Go in there knowing you're not sure what you want yet, if she's good she'll be able to play around with it and see what you like. I didn't know what I wanted until the day of, but because I did the trial, I knew the girl was good so I wasn't worried about it. That may be the best bet.
My photog and make up artist highly recommended her, as well as, rave reviews online. I am pretty sure I will just book her, but it makes me nervous to jump on it with out knowing what I really want!
Thank you! I really appreciate your help!
I bet it'll work out if you book with her. People wouldn't rave about her if she didn't know her stuff. Maybe if you do the trial with her, you can bring some photos of what you kinda like at this point. See what she does, what she suggests. It could be a great way to generate ideas, instead of just seeing the looks on other women, ya know?
I think you'll be fine to book her. When I did my trial, we tried like 3 or 4 different styles and I still don't know which one I want to go with. Just bring pics of styles you like with you and let her try them out.

Hi Hive! I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!
I have been talking to a hair stylist about booking her for my wedding. Recently she told me that another girl is inquiring about my date and asked if I was planning on booking my trial to put a soft hold on my wedding date. Well then I found out that even if I book my trial they could still book out my wedding date to someone else unless I have my trial done asap and then put down a deposit for the wedding. Thats all fine and dandy, but I am still 10 months out from my wedding and I dont know what I want to do with my hair yet.....
Question is-Do you think its smart to book someone for the wedding prior to the trial to guarantee your wedding date? Do you think I should just do a trial now (w/o really knowing what I want) so I can book my date???
Thanks girls! You guys are serious life savers!!!!!!!!
