So, I went for my hair trial this weekend.  Since the person doing my hair the day of lives in Ohio, I went to a local beauty school for the trial.  I figured I was just trying to see if the style looked good on me.  And, since most salons in the area charge over $60 for an up-do, this seemed like a good, cheap solution.
My appointment was at 10 on Saturday morning.  I didn't leave there until 1.  My hair had fallen by 1:05.  It was a disaster.  It looked nothing like the picture.  It was bad.  Very very bad.
Now, I don't know if it was the style itself or the stylist.  And I looked and looked for a style I liked.  This is the only one I liked.  I'm scared I'm not going to like it.
Luckilly, I have the best mommy ever.  She's going to pay for me to go to her stylist next month when I'm home visiting for my shower.  Hopefully it will look like I want when a professional does it.  Wish me luck!!!

What a bummer!  Hopefully it works the second time around!

I had like 4 hair trials until I found one that worked.  It sucked.  My original stylist was a complete b*tch.  I hope your new stylist works out!

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience! Sometimes it can take several tries to get the hair style you want to look good using your own hair, as everyone's hair is different. Texture, length, fullness, etc all factor into how your hair will hold a style. I hope your 2nd trial at your mother's salon turns out better!

That sucks but you did go to a school . They are still learning so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I would stick with the pros for your wedding day.  It's just one of those things that you don't want to let lie in the hands of someone who is inexperienced.
