Hi! I thought I loved my hair when I did my first trial a week or so ago. Now, I’m not sure. Any advice? Too loose? Too curly? Not enough form? I am going back Tuesday for another trial. I am going to have her smooth it out a bit and make it wavy, I think. And, maybe attach birdcage veil material to comb in back. I like the side bun style, which is what is in the pics, but think it might be too curly and loose. ADVICE?

Hmm I don’t think it looks too curly or loose. She can maybe smooth it out a bit on your right side on the top but I think it looks pretty good overall. Is your hair short? Could she make the side bun a little fuller?

Unless you have a really casual/laidback style dress, I think it looks too messy. Perhaps the stylist could make the curls a little softer so they don’t look so “piecey”?
However, if you are having a beach wedding this would look fine.

@Rupp.Anderson: I think it looks really nice in the picture that shows a side view, but the back just looks like there’s a lot going on, but in a slightly unkempt sort of way :/. Maybe there is a way to have a little more of an intentional “design” in the back?

Thanks, ladies. I will post my dress if that helps. It is an outdoor wedding at a rose garden. I think it doesn’t have much form either in the back. And, I would like the bun to be fuller too. My hair is long but thin! Longer now than in pics!
@SkyChick: thanks! Just posted dress if that helps.
@lil_possum: thank you! Just posted dress if that helps.
@Lily_of_the_valley: thanks for your help. Dress posted if that helps.

I thinks its gorgeous!!! has more of a natural look that a lot of bridal updo’s usually do, it looks healthy, youthful and soft. But thats me.
Its all what you feel comfortable with, when its right for you you’ll know it.
Sounds like your wedding will be beautiful. Your dress is gorgeous!

@Rupp.Anderson: Oh love your dress! Maybe the stylist could make it a little fuller at the back by using some kind of bun padding, or clip in extensions? Now that I’ve seen your dress, I think the hairstyle fits (I was expecting a big princess-y tulle gown and a ballroom/formal setting for some reason).

@Rupp.Anderson: You know, the same thing happened to me! I had my hair trial and I loved it in person but then the hairdresser took photos of my hair and the photos do not do it justice…it looks horrible in the photos and is making me second guess my hair style! I think what it comes down to mostly, is that the quality of the phone cameras isnt good, lighting, etc. I think your hair looks beautiful and hopefully you are able to get what you want the day of! 🙂

i think it looks great! Very stylish.

@Rupp.Anderson: I like it alot, don’t think it looks too messy at all. I do think though that the side bun should be more full or maybe pinned down lower (either through teasing, extensions, or sock bun type things), it’s hard for me to tell there is even a bun there in the pics. BTW I LOVE your hair clip! I’ve got a similar but less blingy one in purple!

@undercoverjoan: thank you!
thank you everyone! Y’all are so great!

The curls look beautiful from the front and side. I would stick with the hair clip in the back.
Love the dress!

@Kitten Heels: which one now? HA!
@lil_possum: do you like one hair style better? Posted 2nd trial…I don’t love the front but she said she would do more with the part and poof up the crown a bit…I don’t love the left side view…she said she could do more waves…
