Hair up or down?

I think either up or down will look good with your dress.

Personally, I went with a “half up half down” style because I love the look of hair on my shoulders, but hate having hair near my face.

Actually I think a low or side up-do would look nice with your dress as well.

@Quicksand:  your hair is short so i would keep it down. Unless you plan on getting extensions then i would say a loose updo

@Little_Nut88:  I think either up or down would look great – what does your hairdresser advise?

If you wear it up, you can feel reasonably confident that it will stay in place all day. If you wear it down, it will move around, curls will relax, etc – you may or may not want that.

@Quicksand:  I have a hard time getting curl to stay too. Have you ever tried using a curling wand? I’ve had good luck with those!

@Quicksand:  Or get your hairdresser to use one! The hairstylist at my friend’s wedding used one to give me a look like this, and it stayed perfectly ALL night:

@Quicksand:  Are you having a trim or anything before your wedding? If so, you can easily discuss it with him then!

Like @Little_Nut88 I also went for the half up/down do. DH loved my hair long but I wanted it off my face. I also felt like a full updo would be too severe for me (personal choice). My hair is also thick, but I had it curled and had my hairdresser leave it tight. It loosened up during the course of the day and I thought it looked great throughout.

I’d do a light wave (so it doesn’t take too much length away), or get a precision cut and use straighteners and go for the glossy polished look?

I would wear your hair up.  You don’t want to worry about it not staying where and how you want it throughout your wedding day/evening.  It’s also more timeless.
