I second the request for help on this! I’m a long-term Pittsburgh local, but I’ve always been more of a ‘blow-dry and go’ type, so I’m at a loss.. Recommendations, please!

When I lived in Pittsburgh I went to Capristo Salon in Shadside.  I swear by all their stylists and everyone in my bridal party will have their hair done there that day!

Good luck!

While I’ve never gotten my hair done there, I had several facials at Capristo.  I thought that they did a wonderful job, and I saw nothing but rave reviews about the salon on citysearch.

I booked Julie from Pittsburgh Makeup and Dolce Vita Salon…  everyone is coming to the hotel where we are all getting ready!  Good luck.

I used to go to Salon DiStefano in Shadyside while I was in school. They did my hair for a few formals; they were fast and reasonably priced.

I work downtown and go to Salon Christine to get my nails done.  It’s an Aveda salon and while I haven’t gotten my hair done at the salon, a friend of mine has and gave it great reviews.  Here’s the site . . . http://www.salonchristine.com/

Another Salon that I absolutely loved was Serene. It’s located in Cranberry right off of 228.  I haven’t gone back since my hairdresser left but everyone who works there is super nice.  I think they offer wedding day specials.

Good luck!
