I’m getting married Aug 2015 in NY. We’re just going to go to a Drybar and get our hair done. It’s a real girly experience apparently, champagne, cookies and girly movies like the Notebook while you get your locks done. It’s blowdrys of different styles, so long loose curls, or updos, or straight and so on. They have a few different locations, and the prices seem really reasonable.

You should totally check it out – if you email them, they might even have a staff member to do make up, or be able to recommend someone that can come to the salon and do it there, or meet you at the hotel after your hair is finished. If you do go to the Drybar, PM after your wedding and tell me about your experience, I’d love to know your opinion before I go out there next summer!

FYI, I think my best friend is going to do my makeup, but idk haha

@BirdieNY:  $250 isn’t crazy, sorry to say. I mean, it IS crazy, but it’s not…unusual or exorbitant. I was also going to do something like Dream Dry, but they don’t open early enough for me. But that’s probably your most affordable option. If you are in Manhattan, you could have your makeup done by Vensette.

@BirdieNY:  Yeah that is kind of normal. I got marriedi in NY last June. But I have to say, they arrived at your hotel on time, were professional and the make up and hair was amazing!

I used styledbyjen.com and she came to my house and was cheaper than that.

@BirdieNY:  I’m using Daniela Rodriguez for my wedding day.  She is coming to my hotel to do hair and make-up for me and my bridal party.  She is very reasonably priced and I just had my trial and I thought she did a fantastic job.

@Mannydoodle:  Thanks for recommending her. I reached out to her and the prices are reasonable…so far the best I have seen. I plan to do a trial with her to see how it goes

@gescot1:  Yes she had the best prices I found too and I was really impressed by the quality of her work at my trial. Good luck!

I also have a trial set up with Daniela Rodriguez. I’m really hopeful it goes well because her bridal prices and bridesmaids prices were really reasonable 🙂 Good luck!
