wow, $1000 for just yourself? Look elsewhere! That's a bit much, I've gotten quotes as high as $375 for hair and makeup, but that's because she was in high demand..and if for whole bridal party of 4, two moms and bride was for $1000. The other one I got was $350 for both hair and makeup for bride + three.
I'm trying out someone that I have a trial scheduled for the 18th with, but their prices are very reasonable, and they have a portfolio online.
They're in the OC area, too.

I'm getting hair and makeup done by one of Vivian Tran's top makeup artists. (Vivian herself was booked on my wedding date :( I went in for a trial a couple weeks ago and loved what she did. Check out Vivian's site:
her prices aren't the cheapest, but theyre far from the most expensive from what you get. She has lots of experience and you can see the results from her site.

I'm trying out Jennifer Bullag of "Brides made Beautiful," on March 7. She works locally in Riverside and Orange County. She's very prompt on responding back, unlike some of my other prospective vendors. I think her prices are very reasonable. Tell her Reila referred you.
Try Miki at www.femmedelafemme.com. She's done my makeup a few times for separate events, and her style is versatile. You can also find Ramon there, who does awesome hair. He can do really intricate dos if you want him too.
I also worked with vivian tran, she's great in communicating with me, meeting her associates in two weeks (she's booked on my date too)..but yes, hers was on the higher end, not $1k though.

Hi Ladies,
I am looking for a recommendation for a hairstylist and/or makeup artist in Orange County. I have gotten two prices from vendors, one was $1000 for hair and makeup, the other was $400 for both. That seems high to me (I hope it is!) but I want someone that will do a good job. Any advice?
