Hi!
I'm having the same problem. I live in NYC but I'm getting married at FEAST at Round Hill in Washingtonville. I don't know where to go for hair.
Any suggestions would be appreciated on my end too!
hi ladies! I am from Philly getting married in Marlboro, totally hear you on this. After extensive research I found Dorothy at Pretty Bird Bridals. I found some really good reviews and pics of her work. I have not had my trial yet however she has so far been professional, easy to contact and even sent me videos and photographs of her past work. I have found sometimes it was easier to read reviews of each hair/make-up stylist and see final results versus checking out their sites, it can someitmes be deceiving.

@love2lol and @coffeelover: Just curious - now that its October - how did using Pretty Bird Bridal go on the day of?
I used Dorothy and she was amazing! She got to my venue early (which was about an hour trip for her and the travel was included in the price), listened to all of the changes that I wanted from my trial appt, and was a joy to work with. Her airbrushing helped my makeup stay on all day (with just a little powder touch up for shine) and considering I got married Labor Day weekend and have oily skin, this was not an easy feat! My hair also stayed in place from 10am until 2am and there was lots of dancing goin on. She's worth every penny if you think about the fact that she doesnt charge for travel, uses high quality makeup, and includes airbrushing and lashes which stay on all day and night.

I was also thinking about using Face Stockholm in Rhinebeck (they have another location in Hudson). I'm going upstate this weekend so I figured I would check it out in person. Has anyone had any experience with Face Stockholm before?

Hi Ladies;
My wedding is today and I had my entire day planned out perfectly. I get a phone call yesterday from Dorothy at Pretty Bird Bridal telling me the day before my wedding, after I gave her $225, that she was not going to be able to do my hair and make up for my wedding unless I drove almost two hours to get her and bring her to my location. I was paying this woman $300 to drive to me to do my make up. This woman is very unprofessional. I would not recommended her to anyone. Not only does she charge $150 for a hair and make up trial, but she makes you drive to her and sit in her house to do the trial. what a joke. I was saved however by: Beauty by Nicole. She is charging me less and is still meeting me at my venue today. I was so upset by this woman. How do you cancel on a Bride the day before her wedding? She is very unprofessional and rude. BEWARE!!!!!
Had a hair trial with Beauty By Nicole and she's awesome! Totally down to earth and super talented!
My friend got hers done at the Cosmopolitan salon which is near Brewester (got married in Poughkeepsie). Thumbs up to them!

Hello!
I'm getting married at Bear Mountain in NY and don't have anyone for hair and makeup. I live in the city and that's a but far and was going to try to find someone in the area of Bear Mountain.
Suggestions anyone?
