Weddingbee boards

So I've been engaged for 2 years because of my FI being deployed for a year and up until recently, I haven't really felt like a bride. I guess we've just been engaged so long and the excitement wore off with everyone with such a long engagement. I honestly thought we would never get to this point but lately, it's really starting to sink in that we will FINALLY be getting married and it's so overwhelming lol. I am so excited and over the last few months, it's become so real, what with the showers and fittings, walk-throughs, bachelor/bachelorette parties and so on :)

Anyways, I had my hair and makeup trial with SKS of Atlanta and it was the BEST experience; everything that I could have imagined and more! I chose SKS because I wanted a more high fashion and editorial look and they definitely delivered. Ha I think my words to them were, "The more volume on the hair and more makeup, the better!" I went in there wanting something dramatic!

For makeup, I tried the airbrush and to test the flawlessness and how it's supposed to be waterproof and stay on, I tested it by driving home without air lol. It still held up pretty good!...

Ok so I am sooooo sorry about the HUGE pics but bees, what do you think?! Is there anything I missed or should change/reconsider?

From the trial, I learned that I want my hair to look more like my inspiration picture but I really love it. The only other thing will just be more volume and smoother. I'll have a hair comb on the side of my hair.

I LOVED the airbrush and the overall look of the makeup. It held up well and felt so nice, like I wasn't wearing anything. It will wear off a little but they reccommend mineral makeup, like from MAC, to do touchups and to blot, not wipe. The airbrush will just be little heavier and there will be more color on my cheeks. I LOVE the lashes and the drama it adds but please excuse the crappy ones I'm wearing. I've worn them 2x and it was really just to see the look (they didn't cooperate very well and just wouldn't stay on).

Overall, a GREAT experience and I just can't wait to see it on my wedding day!! 2 weeks!!

Some things I learned: Don't be afraid to speak up and don't leave unhappy! Have fun! Experiment and play around with your look. Do your research and have a basic idea. I actually save dos and don'ts on my laptop and brought it to show them. Bring your headpiece, earrings, and veil with you because it really brings your whole look together :)

I was pretty pleasantly surprised by the airbrush and just how good it felt. I definitely recommend it after my trial.

Bees, what did it take for y'all to really start to feel like a bride? Just curious :)

@KSansha: Ha thanks, I mean it sounded smart so I thought, why not. It all has to withstand the Georgia heat and humidity, a long day, and dancing the night away and it was really hot on that ride home lol. I was satisfied.

I'm pretty in love with them :) I almost didn't get them because I had no idea you couldn't just buy earrings off the shelf at my bridal salon, you have to order them and I of course wait until the last minute to pick out accessories. I got lucky and they sold me the display.

@RR: I really haven't seen too much of the airbrush, either, and I've heard so many different things about it so I was kinda nervous. I went with the waterproof and I loved it! My advice is to just try it for your trial because I mean, why not and if you don't like it then just go with regular makeup.
