Hello there lovely Bees 🙂
My wedding is in 5 weeks now, and I need to make a decision on my hairstyle. Below is a pic of me in my dress (without any makeup on or hair done properly). And then there are my hair options. At my trial we went through 2 looks, so here are my options and thoughts at the moment. Please let me know which one you like better and think will look best with my dress! I will be using the hair piece in the pictures, and I also have a 2-tier fingertip veil to add in for the ceremony.
The first look is more traditional: low, back. Please note I would have the front done properly too (a few loose curls etc and the fringe actually sitting nicely – we hadn’t got to that part yet). The veil would sit under the comb so when it’s all flowing down the back you would see it clearly. This one feels more elegant and bridal, but I feel like I don’t look as pretty (but then we didn’t do it properly from the front).
The second look is more trendy: side, curlier. Would be done neater on the day obviously. The comb would sid along the side going up-down, and the veil would sit normally for the ceremony. This one made me feel more fun and prettier, but also made me feel a bit young.
So what do you think? My hairdresser is amazing, I have full confidence in her to make me look beautiful either way (had her before for events). So if you think something else entirely would be better let me know!

As pretty as the back-do looks from the back I prefer the side do as you can actually see some hair from the front and it frames your face and makes for a dressier look.
The back do looks lovely but from the front (which is where most photos will be taken from) it just looks quite plain.

jpbee: I agree with that. I was planning to have more loose curls around my face if I did the back do, so it would be framed more and overall she would style the front properly so it doesn’t all just sit there.
My only concern with the side do is that it makes me look too young? Also that it might droop before the night is done.

Sorry I didn’t read your post properly, in that case I like them both. If you are worried about it drooping it may be the best option. I also worry about my hair drooping and although loose, free styles look lovely I will probably have to go for something a bit tighter and neater to be sure it will stay put! My hair is quite fine and flyaway though and tends to go lanky very easily. The back do you posted looks more secure and I would probably go for that.

christoffels: The side-do for sure! It looks way more romantic and youthful, in a good way not in a senior prom kind of way 🙂

I think the second style looks better.
