I have a question. I plan on wearing a cathedral length veil the day of my wedding. Of course, I want to have my hair up because I have a one-shoulder dress, and I think that an up do would look much better to show off the neckline of the dress.
I also want to wear a hair flower/fascinator in my hair along with the veil.
But I have no idea how to situate everything!
with an updo, i know where i would put the flower, but where would i put the veil?
Do most people put their veils on top of their up do, or under their up do?
I am so confused…. is it even possible to do both a fascinator and a cathedral length veil?
I have a picture of the fascinator that I want to use.
if you have used both a veil and a flower/fascinator, post a pic of where you placed it all!

Under, so the veil doesn’t squash the flower. But that’s only if you want to wear both for the ceremony. You could wear just the veil for the ceremony then switch to the headpiece for the reception.
If you’re getting your hair done the day of, you’ll have a consultation before the big day just to make sure there is a game plan before the wedding day. For that consultation, bring in the headpiece. The hair dresser will know what to do with it.

I think it also depends upon how high or low your hair will be…For example, I would like to wear both (probably a fingertip length however) …. I plan on having my hair pulled back low and slightly off-centered with a flower positioned low on the opposite side. My veil comb will be just above my “up do” so the two should not compete with one another.. I wish I had pics to post but my hair trial isn’t for a few weeks.. Does this make sense? With that said, if for some reason it looks too busy, I plan on wearing the veil for the ceremony and replacing it with the flower for the reception, as roubaix3325 mentioned…Definitely bring both to your hair trial!
