Any Bee’s & Brides have suggestions or pictures of Hairstyles that would look great with ONE SHOULDER STRAP WEDDING DRESSES?! I am not a fan of pulling all my hair back tight in a bun (because of my far back hairline). I know I need a hairstyle that will perfectly compliment my one shoulder dress and show off it’s dramatic and modern style. Help Bee’s?!
Here is my One Shoulder Wedding Dress…
Here are a few other styles I found online… but still searching for the right one! I’m curious what hairstyles look great with One Shoulder Gowns and what styles are a “No No”! Help?

I love the side swept pony look OR loose side buns for one shoulders, I think they let the strap shine all by itself & keep you symmetrical!

I love how Katherine Heigl has her hair in the picture you posted. Stunning. That one has my vote!

Well to begin with let me say..wow!! ur wedding dress is gorgeous!! 🙂 for a one shoulder dress the best option is an updo and also as you have the corsage/flower on one shoulder a lovely bun or a french knot with some flowers of beads will look lovely.

I would do a loose side sweep updo..

Low side buns are always a favorite of mine 🙂

Swept to one side in either a loose, curly side pony tail or a bun like posted above. Add an accent flower.
One thing though–I think it looks really weird if the hair is swept to the side that has the strap. It ends up looking like way to much is going on on that side. So make sure that if you do an asymmetrical hair style that you do it on the opposite side of your strap. ie, in your case I would sweep the hair to the left, since your strap is on the right.

Here’s an example of what I’m thinking!! Harry Potter anyone??

@theeekingeek: Love this look, will be hopefully wearing something like this with my one-shoulder dress. I agree with Oribel too – side bun and flower should be on opposite side as strap, will give some balance.
@April_Fools_Bride: Your dress is gorgeous!

My dress also is a one shoulder dress and I love the side ponytail!
I really want something like this. I dont have enough hair so I might have to add some extensions.

I definitely like an updo for this dress style. I don’t know who the star is in the black, flowery-strapped dress, but I think a swoop bang like that would look great!

Hello future brides! Merry Christmas! From a stylist’s point of view you always want to stay true to the bride you are, don’t change your identity on your wedding day! Most brides want to be “different” and that’s great, but there are subtle ways to be unique, and still look like you! Always keep in mind the style of the dress, and veil! As for April fool’s bride, your dress is elegant and form fitting. Since you consider your hairline to be a distraction , and cutting bangs (if you do not have them) isn’t the best thing to consider before your wedding, some height in the front and very soft is my suggestion, even a possible swoop shown in the image. For a reference, I styled Hillary’s hair for this image in Cosmopolitan bride.
