I suggest putting your hair in different styles and then trying the veil on to see what looks best.
I think mantilla veils are beautiful and feminine. The first picture below stands out to me as a really great way to wear a mantilla. Her hair is mostly pulled back but not up too high. I think the styles that would work with a mantilla are a low bun or chignon, curly down-do, or some variation of the French twist. (Examples below.) Hope that helps!
Personally I don't like to see a mantilla worn with loose hair. I have a very long hair but I'm doing an updo. The kind of updo to prefer depends essentially on the shape your face has:

My dress came with a matching cathedral length mantilla veil. It's beautiful. My only problem is that I have no clue how/where to wear it. I'm not sure if I want my hair up or down, so I'm asking all of you for a little help.
If you have worn a mantilla, could you please send some help my way? Pictures would be great if you have them. I'm just lost.
