I am originally from the Midwest, but now live overseas in Dubai. I just got engaged and am wearing this 1/2 carat solitaire with a few sidestones. I had originally wanted a bigger stone, but this seemed to suit me. I really liked the design.
What kind of wedding band would you suggest?

Honestly, many different bands look great next to solitaires IMO. I personally love pave bands with solitaires, but a plain gold band would look really nice as well. Do you have any ideas of what you want?

@AmrLoreen: Your ring is beautiful!! The half carat is perfect on your hand. You can really put anything with it as it is timeless. I would personally do a diamond band with it for some extra sparkle. Here is a thread with lots of inspiration pictures for you:
My cousin just got engaged with a similar ring and her wedding band is alternating rubies and diamonds. It looks gorgeous! Same with sapphires.
Good luck, and let us know what you decide!

Personally, I think a rounded band pave setting would compliment your ring nicely!
But as the lady above said, solitaires are so versatile, and pretty much any wedding band will look great next to it.

@MlleDarcy: Thank you so much! I get a little finger-conscious when I see bigger rocks (not that it should matter because I am just grateful to be marrying him), but your post made me feel better. And I agree about about the diamond band and will be sure to check out that board. Thanks again!

@cantwait412: I love micropave and the little 14 stones I have (hard to tell in pictures) on the current band are kind of like that. But is pave too delicate for everyday wear? I’m a middle school teacher. Thank you for the compliment.

I’d love to see a scattered diamond band like this with your ring:

Its beautiful! I agree with PP you can pair it with almost anything. The paved idea would certainly add sparkle if thats what you are looking for.
