the one half moon invite i received had the enclosures outside of the invite. they used an inner envelope, so the half-moon pocketfold had the invite in it and the enclosures were just behind the pocketfold in the inner envelope.
I think you might need to post a picture for us to help you. I've never actaully seen a half moon ivite before, I could be the only one.
Put one up and I'd be happy to help if I can!
I am actually doing a hlf moon invite too and I had the SAME excat question!!! I decided to just put it all inside (invite, direction card and rsvp card) My only concern was that some people may not see the small rsvp card inside and would not think to shake it out. I like the idea of having an outer envelope though... The only reason I may not do an outer envelop is bc of price.
Sweeney- a half moon invite is a vertical pocket with a notch cut out of the top.

Let me know what you decided to do bearbride!
when i created one for a client, i placed all inserts inside the pocket. i made all of them the same size, so that when you pull them out, you pull them all out and nothing gets left behind. for the rsvp card, i did place that outside because it's smaller and i didn't want it to get lost. but if you use the pockets that i used, ther'es also a small window in the front, so if a guest did leave anything behind, they'd see it.
i used these pockets: http://paperpresentation.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=WIN
good luck!
Another issue I came up with was when I put the ecnclosures outside of the pocket, you could see them through the envelope which really bothered me. ( I am using light colored envelopes. Instead of spending 150 more dollars on outer envelopes, I think I will line my envelopes so you can't see them and then place them on the outisde.
reviving this thread because I have the same question. My enclosure cards a smaller than the invitation and i am worried about the guests not realizing there are multiple pieces! I have a decorative belly band on the outside of the halfmoon pocket, but am thinking about putting another belly band around the invitation and enclosures. But i don't know if the band will get stuck in side with the other enclosures. What do other bees think?

This may be a really, really stupid question, but I am dead serious. I do not know.
Where do you put the RSVP card & envelope if you are making a half-moon invitation? Inside of the little sleeve or outside of it?
HELP!
