My hair has never held curls well, and they just don’t always look good on me when I’ve tried. But like you said, most styles you find online are done with curls!

I have naturally curly hair.  Very curly.  Originally we were going to do the same hairstyle, but with my curl.  My stylists and awesome friend called me, told me to come back in, that it just wasn’t sitting well with him.  It took about 2-3 hours of blow out, very hot curlers, and his rock star skills.  I did not move, frizz, curl NOTHING. (except for my side bang.  It didn’t co operate so we pinned it down. This was before the ceremony) He is a majician and I loved it.

My hair is also naturally curly/wavy, so it wouldn’t have held a straight look all day as well as it held curl.

I personally love looks like these (and wish I could have them for myself!). Are any of these what you had in mind?

Bumping, I’d love to see more ideas along this line. My hair does not like to hold a curl and I don’t want it all put up, so it looks like I’ll be doing something like this for my own wedding.

This is an “all down” look but you could pull the sides back.  I’m doing a Reese Witherspoon look.  Down and no curls (and bangs).   🙂

@Gemstone:  I love the second two.

My hair doesn’t hold curls either so I’m experimenting with different curling methods. But these are so cute, I might just wear it straight!

I’m thinking about doing this as well.  Here are some looks I’m considering

Curling my hair would be a long and pointless exercise even with several cans of hairspray to help.  Everyone knows me with straight hair so long and straight it is, but I will be doing a small ponttail to help hold my veil on.

If everyone knows you with straight hair and you like it that way I see no reason to change it.

I would love to aim for something simple like this:

…. but my hair does not like to hold curl at all, so waves like this won’t last long. Likely I will start with something like this and end up with straight hair by the end of it, which wouldn’t bother me at all 🙂

@oneyearout:  I’m eloping, so I just need it to hold for the pictures 😉 I wouldn’t even attempt it if I needed it to hold for a full night!
