Has anyone been to Atlantis in the Bahamas?

Going on a cruise to Canada for the honeymoon.

We are docking at Halifax and St. John's. Does anyone have suggestions on where to go or what to do? Or what not to do?

How long are you going to be in port in St. John's?

The harbour here is right in the dowtown core. You can basically walk straight off the boat and into the shops and stuff. Are you big walkers/hikers? You could walk up to the top of Signal Hill (about 20-30 mins of intense uphill walking, you can go by trails or up the roadway).

There are also tour companies (probably they will all around on the pier) who will take you on driving tours ranging from 1 to 3 hours. If you go this route you will probably go out to Cape Spear which is the eastern-most point in North America. There is a lighthouse out there, rocks, waves, pretty views etc. If you're not into going in a bus or tour van with a bunch of people, lots of cab companies will do a mini tour for a flat rate... and the cab drivers have stories!! haha.

Also there is the infamous George Street. This street is all pubs and bars. You can go there to hear some local Irish or Newfie music. Or you could get "Screeched in" which will make you an honorary newfoundlander.

Those are just some of the things off the top of my head. What kinds of things do you like doing?
